From the air-conditioned kennels, to the secure play areas, this facility exceeded every expectation. They even send you daily video updates. I had a great experience boarding my cats here. The staff were caring, patient, and kept me updated during their stay. My cats can be quite shy and take time to warm up to new people, but they were handled with care and came back safe and comfortable. I had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience with Pet Planet Boarding. I paid for 3 days of boarding for my two senior pugs and had CLEARLY informed them beforehand that both my dogs are old and require extra care. I specifically requested that they be kept indoors and also asked for photos/videos so I could make sure they were comfortable and being looked after properly. They did send me videos — but unfortunately, those very videos made it clear to me that my dogs were NOT being kept in the conditions I had specifically requested. Both my dogs were kept outside for hours during the afternoon heat and were visibly panting. The outdoor area has gravel/stones, which is extremely uncomfortable for elderly dogs to walk on. One of my dogs now has swollen paws after staying there. When I called and questioned why my dogs weren’t being kept indoors, the caretaker told me they couldn’t keep them inside because they might pee or poop and said, “We can’t keep cleaning.” I found this response completely unacceptable. This is a PET BOARDING facility. Dogs may pee or poop, especially senior dogs. If you are accepting responsibility for elderly pets, keeping them comfortable and cleaning up after them is part of the care we are PAYING for. If they were unable or unwilling to keep my senior dogs indoors as requested, they should have told me BEFORE accepting my booking and payment. I would have chosen another boarding facility.
